Dantewada/Raipur: On the first day of English New Year, large number of devotees turned out to Maa Danteshwari Temple in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh for offering prayer. Special arrangements are being put in place to deal with the huge turnout of devotees in and around the campus of this beautiful and prominent temple of Chhattisgarh.
Maa Danteshwari Temple usually witnesses a significant crowd on New Year’s Day and other important occasion. As per the information received, adequate numbers of priests as well as servants in the temple have been be placed for smooth execution of routine rituals in the Danteshwari Temple in Dantewada.
Devotees throng the Maa Danteshwari Temple in Dantewada throughout the year, but on the occasion of the New Year, devotees make special efforts to offer prayer to goddess Danteshwari. Some devotees even travel long distances on foot to witness the goddess. According to the devotees, the journey on foot to see the goddess is not a difficult task at all.
Lakhs of people gathered at Maa Danteshwari Temple, with a special feast of Kheer-Puri. Along with the temple premises, there will be tight security in and around the area, with continuous police surveillance throughout the day. Security arrangements have been stepped up in and around the temple.
